The Data Scientist Senior will support the SOCOM Data Technical Support (DTS) Program in Fort Bragg, NC.
As a Data Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping innovative solutions and making a tangible impact through analytical insights and technical expertise. You will leverage your skills in Python programming, SQL, and large‑scale data systems to build and deliver Python‑based analytic services and web‑based GUIs. With hands‑on experience in tools such as Docker, Linux, FastAPI, and CI/CD pipelines, you will help advance machine learning applications and automated data processes that integrate data from diverse sources, including Commercially Available Information (CAI), Publicly Available Information (PAI), and classified datasets.
The outcomes of your work will lead to meaningful contributions in areas such as entity resolution, graph/relational reasoning, and applied statistics, driving real‑world results for the mission.
- Build Python‑based analytic services and web‑based GUIs.
- Leverage expertise in Python packages, APIs/services, packaging, and dependency management.
- Develop and implement automated data linking methodologies across structured, semi‑structured, and unstructured data.
- Design, build, and maintain machine learning applications with Python and Streamlit.
- Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) on CAI/PAI and classified sources.
- Integrate data from APIs, databases, and other sources into unified applications.
- Productionize machine learning models using tools such as FastAPI, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Linux.
- Work with large‑scale systems, including Trino, Postgre
SQL, and Hive. - Utilize data science tools such as Num Py, Sci Py, pandas, scikit‑learn, and Matplotlib.
- Apply expertise in entity resolution, graph/relational reasoning, and applied statistics.
- Manage the full lifecycle of data processes, from ingestion to model deployment.
- Proficient in broad machine learning concepts such as supervised and unsupervised.
- Proficient in Python, Bash, Docker and Git.
- Proficient in working with APIs using Python.
- Proficient in software testing in Python.
- Clearance:
Current DoW TS/SCI Clearance is required. - Experience:
5 years of related experience. - Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). - Role requirements:
Onsite. - Due to US Government Contract Requirements, only US Citizens are eligible for this role.

The likely salary range for this position is $110,500 - $149,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
