AboutThe Role
Responsibilities:
- Provides technical and operational support, subject matter expertise for FDMA, TDMA, CDMA, SDMA, UHF TACSAT, INMARSAT.
- Provides technical and operational support for BGAN, GBS, HPW, and other SATCOM networks.
- Configures networks, monitors systems, activates remote terminals, tracks and resolves SATCOM incident reports and problems related to baseband, IF, and RF communications.
- Analyzes SARs, GARs, SAAs, GAAs.
- Develops and reviews TSRs, TSOs, transmission plans, and other documentation to determine SATCOM configuration requirements and alternatives and report to the Government.
- Utilizes Government‑provided tools to develop network diagrams and cut‑sheets based on their analyses.
- Provides daily status reports on equipment, network availability, and utilization using Government‑provided tools and enters outage and restoral information into the Government’s trouble‑management system.
- Represents USSOCOM and interfaces with software and hardware vendors for support issues.
- AS and 10 years of experience OR BS and 8 years OR MS and 6 years OR HS and 12 years.
- DoD security clearance at TS/SCI level.
- At least 2 years prior experience as a Satellite Planner.
- Satellite Communications Systems Operator/Maintainer Course, Joint C4 Planner's Course.
Target salary range: $80,000 - $128,000. Salary determined by factors including scope, experience, education, skills, and location. May be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonus.
