Specifically, we are looking for a TS/SCI cleared Cybersecurity Engineer - SME to support this mission at Pope Army Airfield, NC.
Responsibilities- Providing dedicated, on-site support for Cybersecurity engineering.
- Conducting network audits, assessing results, and providing recommended corrective actions.
- Continuously monitoring operations for trends, anomalies, and performance indicators.
- Examining network topologies to understand and secure data flows across multiple platforms and environments.
- Identifying industry-best-fit applications and network devices to effectively secure transport across the network(s).
- Performing risk and vulnerability assessments for engineered networks and systems.
- Ensuring engineering tasks and cybersecurity solutions comply with accreditation, certification, and connection standards.
- Conducting RDAC analyses to determine required security controls, test plans, and security assessments to mitigate risk per NCDSMO approval criteria.
- Engineering and analyzing solutions for vulnerability and risk assessment to ensure compliance with national and DoD security standards and measures.
- Coordinating with subordinate, adjacent, supporting, and senior organizations and agencies to support resolution of security issues, accreditation and connection approvals, and engineering requests.
- Providing A&A support; engineering solutions to ensure sound network security and design; and project management support services.
- Reviewing, analyzing, and documenting the security requirements of applications, systems, and networks across their life cycles.
- Reviewing Security Test and Evaluation plans; developing or refining them as necessary.
- Advising on network and system risks, risk mitigation, COAs, and operational recommendations.
- Recommending technology upgrades and modifications based on evolving technologies, best practices, and strategic initiatives.
- Evaluating CDN tools, conducting functionality analyses, and assisting in the creation of CONOPs and policies for appropriate use of defensive tools.
- Evaluating, assessing, and ensuring the compliance of ports and protocols used by IT infrastructures, systems, platforms, products, applications, and network security devices (e.g., router ACLs, firewall configurations, ports and protocol nodes, network cabling).
- Researching and recommending system security guidance based on DoD, DIA, USCYBERCOM, JFHQ-DODIN, and other-directed guidance.
Required qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Cybersecurity Engineer or similar role supporting a DoD customer at the CCMD level.
- Minimum of 12 years’ experience with a BS/BA or 16 years without a degree, or 14 years with an AS/AA or 10 years’ experience with MS/MA, or 7 years’ experience with a Ph.D.
- A current, active DoD security clearance at the TS/SCI level.
- US citizenship is required.
- DOD 8140 Compliance based on functional role for WRC: 462 Control Systems Security Specialist, Advanced Level / ability to obtain.
- DoD-approved IA baseline certification for ADP-III/IT-III based on the IAT level and CE/Operating System (OS) certificate within six months of the assignment.

Full-time on-site presence required for equipment management and asset tracking - Travel:
May require occasional travel to CONUS and OCONUS sites for logistics coordination and facility assessments
