We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Obstetrician and Gynecologist for a locum tenens position near Fort Bragg, NC. This role is ideal for a physician looking for a short-term assignment with call-only coverage.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
Round on patients, providing comprehensive care during inpatient stays. Clinical Duties:
Be on-call for emergent C-sections, vaginal deliveries, and any emergent GYN procedures. High-Risk Deliveries:
Manage emergent high-risk deliveries, with transfers to specialized facilities as needed. Support Staff:
Collaborate with hospitalist support staff, on-call anesthesiology, and radiology support. Delivery Statistics:
Average 27 deliveries monthly, with 11 being C-sections; manage 3 labor rooms and 14 postpartum beds. Benefits of This Position:

Call-only coverage allows for concentrated patient care without outpatient responsibilities. Supportive Environment:
Work with a dedicated team of hospitalists, anesthesiologists, and radiologists. Efficient EMR System:
Utilize Medi Tech for streamlined patient documentation and management. High-Risk Transfer Protocols:
High-risk deliveries transferred to specialized facilities approximately 30-45 minutes away. Requirements:
Board Certification:
Must be board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Licensure:
Must hold an active medical license in the state of North Carolina.
Certifications:
ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS certifications are required.
Experience:
Must be actively delivering babies, with case logs from the past 24 months. Credentialing:
The estimated credentialing timeframe is 10 days. Additional Information:
Patient Demographics:
Pediatric patients aged 0-17, with trauma care for ages 0-15. Support Staff:
Includes 4 ACPs and 2 MAs. Practice Setting:
