Urgent Locum Tenens Orthopaedic Surgeon Needed Near Fort Bragg, NC (j-227339) Calling all highly skilled and adaptable orthopaedic surgeons! A supportive community hospital near Fort Bragg, NC, is seeking a qualified locum tenens physician to provide essential call coverage. This opportunity offers a chance to:
Contribute to patient care in a vital role within an inpatient setting. Enjoy a flexible schedule with 24-hour call coverage. Utilize your expertise in a variety of general orthopaedic procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond promptly to call requests and provide timely care for orthopaedic emergencies. Perform a variety of procedures, including wrist, ankle, and hip fractures, incision and drainage (I&D), and closed reductions. Collaborate effectively with nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Maintain a high standard of patient care and communication.
Qualifications:
Active medical license in the state of North Carolina (only). Board-certified in Orthopaedic Surgery. ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required. Clean file with limited affiliations to facilitate expedited credentialing (temporary privileges may be available). Excellent clinical skills and a strong knowledge base in general orthopaedic surgery. NPI number required.

Inpatient Additional Information:
This locum tenens position is intended for call coverage only (no in-office responsibilities). The typical workload includes: 0-3 consultations per day 0-2 visits to the Emergency Department for closed reductions and admissions 0-2 surgeries per day Long bone trauma will be stabilized and transferred to a higher level of care facility.
