Purpose:
As the Associate Program Director, your primary responsibilities will include:
Fostering an environment conducive to resident growth and development. Educating residents to meet the needs of the community and provide compassionate care. Guiding residents to partner with diverse, underserved populations. Preparing residents to deliver comprehensive family medicine care in a changing healthcare landscape.
Primary Responsibilities:
Engage in approximately 80% preceptorship and 20% clinical practice. Provide one day per week of direct outpatient care and four days per week of supervising/administering residents. Assist in residency program practice management and overall operations. Support the Program Director in resident recruitment and selection. Maintain ongoing clinical activity consistent with ACGME guidelines. Participate in teaching residents through clinical and didactic work.
Preferred Qualifications:
Current board certification in Family Medicine by ABFM or AOBFP. Eligibility for unrestricted Active Medical Staff Privileges. Understanding of ACGME accreditation requirements. History of academic achievements and scholarly activity. Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities. Core faculty experience preferred.
