Radiologic Technologist - Full Time, Day at Adventist Health Mendocino County in Fort Bragg, CA. Located where miles of breathtaking ocean views meet dense coastal forests, the hospital has a 25-bed critical access facility and offers a range of services. The Mendocino Coast provides a small-town atmosphere with access to outdoor activities and natural beauty.
Our imaging capabilities provide valuable insights for diagnosing and treating a wide range of symptoms or for annual wellness screenings. Our technology includes 3D mammography, bone densitometry (DEXA), CT, X-Ray, MRI, nuclear medicine imaging, general ultrasound, echocardiography, and cardiopulmonary imaging.
Responsibilities- Operates x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated portions of the body as ordered by physicians.
- Positions and instructs patients prior to examination; adjusts equipment and determines proper voltage, current, and exposure time for each radiograph.
- Performs screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation; explains procedures to patients and answers questions.
- Prepares equipment and examination rooms; positions patients for imaging exams; monitors patient safety during exams.
- Produces diagnostic images and documents exam information; reports important information to the physician.
- Verifies exams on PACS and performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Education and
Work Experience:
- Associate's Degree in radiological technology:
Preferred
Licenses/Certifications:
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – Radiography (ARRT-R):
Required - Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice:
Required in CA and HI - Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification:
Required - Fluoroscopy license in state of employment:
Required in CA within 6 months of hire
