Benefits:
SAIC is looking for a Data Scientist to work with a diverse team of OSINT operations staff and interagency partners to provide support to dynamic, global intelligence operations for the Army OSINT Office (AOO).
This work will be located on site at Fort Belvoir, VA.
This position requires excellent technical, analytic, communication, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to operate in a diverse, evolving, and high-profile environment to oversee the development and execution of technical solutions to Open-Source Intelligence operations aligned with organizational goals.
Job Duties:
- Designing and maintaining data pipelines to ensure efficient data flow and interoperability with existing and emerging programs of record
- Collecting and integrating large, complex data sets that meet cross-organizational requirements
- Ensuring data quality, reliability, and efficiency throughout the data lifecycle
- Collaborating with other data scientists, software developers, operators, project managers, and clients to prepare data for predictive modeling
- Implementing internal process improvements to optimize data delivery and automate manual processes
- Conduct system testing and validation procedures to ensure operational platforms function correctly, including the ability to gather user feedback, identify issues, conduct updates, and perform routine quality assurance checks
- Create and maintain essential technical documentation for reference and reporting, which includes documenting processes, system specifications, and modifications
- Ensure compliance with regulations, develop guidance, and promote ethical use of developed platforms, data repositories, and relevant technical records
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors and five (5) years of experience; four (4) years of experience in lieu of degree
Clearance Requirement:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with an Active Top Secret SCI Clearance with ability to obtain SCI (PR within 6 years)
Additional Requirements:
- Proficient with Power Apps (e.g., Canvas, Power Automate, Power
BI), SharePoint development, Java and CSHTML scripting - Strong solutions development and databasing experience with excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to execute multiple tasks and ongoing projects while ensuring compliance with applicable policies, and procedures
