POSITION OVERVIEWReporting to the Lead Account Executive, the AV Engineer will travel within their respective zones and will perform augmentation support to other zones as needed. The Engineer supports Senior Executive Services (SES) and military officers' conference and meeting spaces. Responsibilities include installing, pulling, terminating, and testing all audio‑visual (AV) type cables, connectors, and interfaces, installing projection screens, plasma TVs and various types of speakers, and installing AV systems on client sites.
The Engineer reads blueprints and wires AV racks, serves as Lead Audio Visual Engineer, manages AV projects with various models and makes of equipment, and has a thorough understanding and working knowledge of testing, analysis and corrective action on systems, networks, hardware and software. The Engineer must know and understand all wire and connector types on all AV related cables, have experience with audio visual equipment, internet‑based video solutions, switchers, codecs, interfaces, and room design, and will access classified areas to support Enterprise JWICS with installation and troubleshooting of system hardware.
The Engineer will not be required to have a SIPR or JWICS user account.
- Active Top Secret Clearance
- Requires a minimum of one of the following: AMX Technician (Networked AV) Certification, Completed Crestron CTI Technician Track Certification or AVIXA CTS certification
- Five (5) years of relevant experience and experience working with:
- Crestron
- Cisco
- Biamp/AMX
- Extron
