OverviewEveryone is trying to “harness the cloud,” but not everyone knows how. As an AWS engineer at Booz Allen Hamilton, you’ll develop, manage, and secure a container platform that meets our clients’ needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. You’ll use technical skills to affect mission‑forward change, improve client environments, and strengthen your AWS expertise.
ResponsibilitiesDesign, deploy, and maintain container management software. Support the team by informing strategy and design, ensuring standards are met throughout the containerization process. Recommend resources to help clients manage and securely adopt containers. Continue to strengthen AWS skills while supporting the development of critical cloud platforms.
Qualifications- 3+ years of experience architecting and deploying applications on Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- 3+ years of experience building, operating, and maintaining compliant computing environments in AWS
- 3+ years of experience with Terraform
- 3+ years of experience managing Git‑based version control systems and CI/CD pipelines, including Git Lab and Git Hub
- TS/SCI clearance
- HS diploma or GED
- Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 Security+ or CISSP Certification within 30 days of start date
- Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code environments, including automated server or network configurations, large‑scale software deployments, or monitoring and testing such as CI/CD
- Experience with provisioning and managing infrastructure and applications in Cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Experience with system integration using JSON, REST, and XML
- Experience scripting in Bash, Power Shell, Python, Groovy, or Ruby
- Experience leveraging JSON, YAML, or XML for configuration
- Agile Certification
- Dev Ops Certification
- Cloud Certification

CompensationThe projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $ (annualized USD). Salary is determined by various factors, including location, education, skills, experience, contract affordability, and organizational requirements.
