Celestar Corporation is seeking a Data Scientist to support INSCOM under the Army Persistent Overhead Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) Exploitation Enterprise Support Services (APOGEE). The primary place of performance will be Fort Belvoir, Virginia

Responsibilities- Perform data analytics, data engineering, data mining, exploratory analysis, predictive analysis, and statistical analysis; translate data into graphical, written, visual, and verbal narrative products to enable informed analytic decisions.
- Proactively retrieve information from various sources, analyze datasets, and build AI tools that automate processes. Develop ML-based tools or processes (e.g., recommendation engines, automated lead scoring).
- Conduct statistical analysis, apply data mining techniques, and build high-quality prediction systems. Create data visualizations using tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
- Work with major data science languages (R, Python) and manage/merge disparate data sources (preferably via R, Python, or SQL).
- Apply knowledge of large data Multi-INT analytics, ML, and automated predictive analytics.
- Support familiarity with agile software development project management frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, Lean) to deliver new capability.
Education/
Experience:
- MA or MS in a STEM-related discipline with 5 years of relevant experience, or
- BA/BS in a STEM-related discipline with 10 years of relevant experience
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated mastery of geographic and geospatial scientific principles, tools, and analytic techniques.
- Experience with data science techniques (e.g., logistic regression, vector methods, NLP, PCA, clustering, neural networks, deep learning, image recognition) and related algorithm development.
- Proficiency with tabular analysis, SQL, and scripting languages (Python, R, Julia, etc.) to deliver insights.
- Familiarity with agile software development frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Lean).
- Current/active TS/SCI clearance.
- Experience with IT, business, or operational metrics platforms (e.g., Splunk, Elastic, Confluence).
- AWS AI/ML specialty certification.
- Knowledge of the NSG TCPED production chain.
- Experience in a DoD or IC operational environment and with DoD/IC geospatial data repositories.
- Familiarity with Army, DoD, or IC GEOINT processes, policy, and programs.
- Experience using Microsoft Office tools for reports, graphics, and briefings.
