About the Position
This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the HQDA G-2 MI SUPPORT STABLE SHADOW PROGRAM, FIELD OPERATIONS SUPPORT, FORT BELVOIR, VA.
Duties- Serves as the HUMINT Operations Chief (HOC) supporting Joint Task Force.
- Leads, manages and deconflicts Joint Task Force HUMINT operations, joint and contingency support, support to Technical Requirements, policy development affecting the Joint Task Force Area of Responsibility / Operations.
- Directs HUMINT Branch staff to support management of: HUMINT collection requirements, HUMINT reporting, HUMINT source data, de-confliction of information, and analysis of threats and Foreign Intelligence Security Service (FISS) information.
- Assists the JX in the administrative oversight in personnel management.
- Daily contact is required with personnel in a wide variety of HUMINT organizations having mission-related activities within the intelligence community.
- Establishes and maintains extensive liaison network with Intelligence Community, DODIIS community, CI/HUMINT organizations, and component personnel.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a TS (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
- Requires extensive travel, 70% or more of duty time OCONUS.
- Position will be designated Emergency Essential (E-E) in support of mobilization and wartime mission. See the Additional Information section below.
- Hours of work is subject to on call, irregular and/or rotating shifts, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
- Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete counter‑intelligence scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI).
- Will be required to undergo psychological screening.
- Must be able to comply with all federal agency security and medical requirements in order to obtain Staff‑Like Access. See the Additional Information section below.
- This position is subject to the Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968. See the Additional Information section below.
- Must be a graduate of a Category 1 HUMINT Collector course.
