SAIC is seeking a Staff Operations Lead to support the Army OSINT Office (AOO) in Fort Belvoir, VA.
Provides intelligence support for contingency operations, battle staff and operational-level planning, joint and multi‑lateral training exercises, and strategic engagement policy throughout the Areas of Operational Responsibility (AOR) and Areas of Interest (AOI) to include analysis and research for industry, infrastructure, technology, country, geographic area, biographic and targeted vulnerability. Monitors and analyzes all strategic and operational aspects of political, military, and economic developments for the countries in the AORs and AOIs.
Assesses future and on‑going political‑military developments, military capabilities and doctrine, weapons acquisitions, and employment of military forces within each country (including the U.S.). Researches, authors, and coordinates threat assessments to support the Commander and the senior leadership as well. May focus on domestic as well as international threats. Considered a recognized authority in this area of expertise. Intelligence analysis may include;
IMINT, SIGINT, ELINT, HUMINT, or MASINT. Develops and maintains analytical procedures to meet changing requirements and ensure maximum operations. May support development and analysis of intelligence products. Presents analysis or products to customers. May support policy and procedures development for agency, inter‑agency, or community wide support.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS AND ABILITY: Applies advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts. Contributes to development of new principles and concepts. Participates with senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives. Recommends/makes decisions on administrative or project work matters and ensures effective achievement of program, project, or organizational objectives.
PROBLEM COMPLEXITY: Works on unusually complex technical problems and provides solutions, which are highly innovative and ingenious.
FREEDOM TO ACT: Works under consultative direction toward pre‑determined long‑range goals and objectives. Assignments are often self‑initiated. Determine and pursue courses of action necessary to obtain desired results. Work checked through consultation and agreement with others rather than by formal review of supervisor. Exercises independent judgment in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
IMPACT: Develops advanced technological ideas and guides their development into a final product. Erroneous decisions or recommendations would typically result in failure to achieve critical organizational objectives and affect image of organization's technological capability.
LIASON: Serves as organization spokesperson on advanced projects and/or programs. Acts as advisor to management and customers on advanced technical research studies and applications.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors degree and fourteen (14) years of experience or Masters and twelve (12) years experience, additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:
- Must have an active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
