Electronics Mechanic; TITLE Security Clearance

Position: ELECTRONICS MECHANIC (TITLE 32) with Security Clearance
Duties This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the DC Army National Guard. MILITARY REQUIREMENTS:

For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have a valid state driver's license for the state in which they live or are principally employed. For positions requiring a security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within One (1) year of appointment. This position is located in the Avionics/Electronics function of an Army Aviation Support Facility (AASF), Army Aviation Flight Activity (AAFA), or Army Aviation Classification Repair Activity Depot (AVCRAD).

Its purpose is to perform repair, maintenance, modification, overhaul and installation of complex electronic systems and/or a portion of a complete electronic integrated system involving work on a number of subsystems but not requiring the integration of all operable subsystems into a functional integrated system. Duties:
* Recommends methods to improve equipment performance, technical data, and maintenance procedures by reporting hardware and software malfunctions, initiates materiel deficiency reports both on equipment and in technical data, and assists in design changes as necessary
* Troubleshoots, inspects, installs, maintains, overhauls, repairs, and modifies complete operational systems consisting of numerous complex integral components
* Guides lower level mechanics in performance of tasks
* Prepares for and participates in various types of readiness evaluations such as Operational Readiness Evaluations (ORE), Command Logistics Readiness Inspections (CLRT-X), and Aviation Resource Management Surveys
* Performs other duties as assigned Note :
