Retail Assistant - Part Time, Evenings & Weekends

We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Forfar, Angus. We offer a permanent part‑time position working a variety of shifts, with a minimum of 12 hours worked over 4 days each week, including weekends.

Please note that this position will require you to be available for shifts on weekday evenings and all day on Saturday and Sunday. This position may not be suitable for you if you are not available to work at these times.

Hours:

12 hours across 4 days per week.

Pay: £10.10 – £12.31 per hour, depending on age.

• Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple hello.
• Help customers find the items they are looking for.
• Give a fast and friendly service at the tills, always offering help to pack and leaving a good impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye.
• Handle stock with care while working deliveries, quickly placing products into our freezers and onto our shelves ready for customers to buy.
• Work with the rest of the team to complete the daily and weekly routines that keep the shop safe, clean and tidy.

• A friendly, positive, hard‑working approach to work.
• Enjoy being busy as there is always something to do – jumping from putting out deliveries to serving on the till, helping customers on the shop floor, completing important cleaning and stock rotation routines and more.
• Reliability – you will be an important part of a small team. Your colleagues and customers will depend on you to do your best on each shift without letting the team down.
• A bit of flexibility with shifts. When other members of your team are off, we may need you to work slightly different hours to cover. Rota’s are planned three weeks in advance and your commitments outside of work are taken into consideration when planning shifts.
