Location:

Forfar
Salary: £26,000 per annum
Duration: 15 Month Fixed Term - Maternity Cover. Starting as soon as possible

Hours:

Monday-Thursday 08:30-17:00, Friday 08:30-16:30

Job Purpose

You will be the primary point of contact for customers, handling enquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring every customer receives an excellent experience. The role requires a customer‑centric mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage a variety of customer concerns efficiently and professionally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to customer enquiries via phone, email, or in person promptly and professionally.
  • Assist customers with product or service questions, technical issues, and order‑related concerns.
  • Identify and resolve customer complaints by following established procedures.
  • Escalate complex issues to the appropriate department or manager when necessary.
  • Provide accurate information on products, services, pricing, and promotions.
  • Upsell or cross‑sell products and services where appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions in the company's CRM system.
  • Document customer feedback and recurring issues to support continuous improvement.
Customer Relationship Building
  • Build strong, lasting relationships with customers through empathy, understanding, and a positive attitude.
  • Actively seek opportunities to exceed customer expectations and enhance satisfaction.
Key Skills and Competencies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and other customer service tools.
  • Patience, empathy, and a customer‑focused mindset.
Qualifications and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required – a business‑related qualification is advantageous.
  • Previous experience in customer service, support, or a similar role is beneficial.
  • Flexibility to support administration tasks as required.
