Overview

Join to apply for the Team Leader role at H&R Block
. You will lead a customer-centric team of associates and accelerate seasonal tax business by managing a single H&R Block tax office.

Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and development of tax office associates, delivering an outstanding client experience and achieving office growth objectives.
  • Partner with the District General Manager to create and implement office-level growth plans, including developing local partnerships and managing office community involvement.
  • Assist the District General Manager in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office associate positions.
  • Serve as the point of contact for onsite escalation client service concerns; ensure clients are scheduled properly and conflicts are resolved.
  • Lead daily activities to ensure all tax office work is completed on time, with attention to quality standards, priorities, and overall goals.
  • Build an engaging team environment by training and coaching associates to meet Service Standards and recognize outstanding contributions.
  • Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates; create and manage associate work schedules and accurate timekeeping.
  • Prepare tax returns, as required.
  • Conduct timely performance reviews and partner with the Associate Relations Center to address performance concerns.
Your Expertise
  • Prior experience in customer service, shift lead, or a similar role; experience supervising or managing people.
  • Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or an Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns).
  • Annual completion of continuing education and ability to meet all IRS and applicable state requirements.
  • Computer proficiency with MS Office; ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision; customer-centric mindset and resilience.
  • Able to work a flexible work schedule and adapt to business needs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (or higher).
