Responsibilities- Provide leadership to a customer-centric team of associates and accelerate seasonal tax business by managing a single H&R Block tax office.
- Serve as front-line manager to develop tax office associates, deliver an outstanding client experience, and achieve office growth objectives.
- Act as a knowledgeable resource on tax topics and products for associates; advance your own knowledge and skills.
- Lead daily activities to ensure all work is completed on time with attention to quality, priorities, and goals.
- Train and coach associates to execute Service Standards, recognizing outstanding contributions.
- Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information; create associate work schedules and manage timekeeping/overtime.
- Prepare tax returns as required and conduct timely performance reviews in collaboration with the Associate Relations Center to address issues.
- Multi-unit people management experience in retail, restaurant, banking, or related industries (preferred).
- 2+ years as a Tax Professional.
- Prior experience in customer service, shift leadership, or similar roles; experience supervising or managing people.
- Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns).
- Annual continuing education and ability to meet IRS and state requirements; computer proficiency with MS Office; ability to work independently.
- High school diploma or equivalent (or higher); flexible work schedule and adaptability to business needs.
- Pay range: $15.00 - $65.00/hr (local minimum wage laws apply; final decisions depend on experience, education, skill, performance, and location).
