Do you know what unwind and rewind of converters or web handling means? If that sounds familiar—and exciting—then you might be the perfect fit for our team! At Duraco Specialty Materials, Manufacturing Engineers aren’t stuck behind a desk. You’ll be on the floor, sleeves rolled up, making things happen. This role is about turning ideas into reality—setting up machines for new SKUs and custom requests, designing jigs and fixtures, troubleshooting equipment, and finding better ways to do things every single day.
You’ll work with people as much as machines. Operators, supervisors, technical teams—you’ll collaborate to keep production moving and improve how we do it. Some days you’ll be deep in AutoCAD layouts or analyzing data in Excel. Other days, you’ll be leading projects that cut downtime, reduce scrap, and boost efficiency. No two days are the same, and that’s what makes it exciting.
You’ll Do
- Set up machines for new SKUs and customer‑specific custom requests.
- Design dies and fixtures that make production smoother.
- Troubleshoot equipment and keep downtime to a minimum.
- Optimize processes to improve yield and reduce waste.
- Use AutoCAD and Excel to turn data into decisions.
- Lead continuous improvement projects that make a real difference.
You’re a hands‑on problem solver who likes working with people and making machines work through people. You’re curious, proactive, and ready to take ownership of projects that matter. Bonus points if you know unwind/rewind processes, web handling, or converting, coater, laminating or slitting equipment. Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred (or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment).
What You’ll Get- Competitive pay and benefits.
- Opportunities to lead automation and process improvement projects.
- Training and exposure to new manufacturing technologies.
- A team that values collaboration and innovation.
Competitive base pay, 401(k) match, professional development, healthcare.
