Accountant, Financial Reporting, Senior Accountant

Overview

Our client in Atlanta is seeking a part-time Accountant for 20-25 hours per week.

The accountant will perform daily financial operations; maintain general ledgers; prepare financial statements; reconcile accounts (AP/AR); assist with month/year-end closes; and ensure GAAP/regulatory compliance.

• General Ledger & Journal Entries:
  Recording and posting daily transactions.
• Account Reconciliation:
  Balancing bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts.
• Financial Reporting:
  Assisting with monthly/quarterly/annual reports and statement preparation.
• Month-End Close:
  Supporting activities to close accounting periods.
• Compliance:
  Ensuring adherence to GAAP and tax laws.
• Analysis:
  Investigating discrepancies and providing insights.
• AP/AR Support:
  Managing accounts payable and receivable functions.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  Strong Excel, accounting software (Quick Books, ERPs).
• Soft Skills:
  
  Detail-oriented, analytical, organized, strong communicator.
• Certifications:
  
  CPA is not required but beneficial; experience is key.
• GAAP Compliance

This position is presently a three month contract, with the potential to become permanent.
