Overhead Crane Service Technician Needed!

A growing industrial services company is seeking experienced Overhead Crane/Hoist Service Technicians in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. This is a field-based position focused on inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing overhead crane systems. Ideal candidates are customer-focused, proactive, and technically skilled in both mechanical and electrical systems.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on overhead cranes and hoists
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues including gear drives, bearings, couplings, hoists, VFDs, and remote systems
• Conduct inspections and provide professional repair recommendations in compliance with OSHA, CMAA, NEC, and ANSI standards
• Communicate clearly with customers and internal support staff regarding service findings, repairs, and system upgrades
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergency service calls
• Recommend additional preventive maintenance or inspections as needed

Skills and Qualifications:

• Ability to work independently and under pressure with tight deadlines
• Skilled in troubleshooting electrical circuits and interpreting electrical schematics
• Experience with disassembling and reassembling complex mechanical systems
• Knowledge of OSHA and ANSI inspection standards
• Welding and fabrication skills (certification preferred)
• Comfortable working at heights (20-100+ ft)
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and confidentiality

Additional Requirements:

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
• Must be available for overtime, weekends, and on-call rotations as needed
• Occasional travel for out-of-town and overnight assignments may be required
