Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a CNC Programmer role in Forest Grove, OR. Key Responsibilities- Develop, write, and optimize CNC programs for mills and lathes using CAD/CAM software.
- Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications to ensure accurate part production.
- Set up and prove out new programs on CNC machines, making necessary adjustments for efficiency and quality.
- Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds for various materials including steel, aluminum, and specialty alloys.
- Collaborate with machinists and engineers to improve cycle times and manufacturing processes.
- Perform first-article inspections and support quality control to ensure parts meet tight tolerances.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain program documentation, setup sheets, and revision records.
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards and manufacturing best practices.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or CNC certification preferred.
- 3+ years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (Mastercam, Fusion 360, or similar).
- Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading.
- Experience working with multi-axis CNC machines preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality components.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced production setting.
- Competitive hourly wage or salary $32-40 hourly (DOE).
