Mulberry is the honored to partner with a 100% employee-owned specialty manufacturing company in Forest Grove, OR. They have been crafting and innovating architectural interior products for over 65 years. They are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager, a newly created role reporting to the President that will support growth of the company while overseeing a team. As the company grows, this role is well positioned for continued opportunity, learning, and advancement.

This position is fulltime, onsite, and requires a background check and drug screen including THC upon acceptance of offer and at random per company policy.
A day in the life- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger while identifying and implanting process improvements
- Supervise, guide and coach a team including accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing
- Oversee and at times administer payroll and record daily transactions
- Manage company credit policies, contracts, and banking relationships
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
- Develop and manage forecasts and cash flow projections
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls
- Work with external accountants and financial advisors
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to leadership to support decision-making
- Provide monthly updates to the leadership team on financial results, cash flow, and ESOP matters
- Partner with leadership to support workforce planning, training, and succession development
- In time, lead ESOP financial reporting and management
- 8–10 years of finance and accounting experience in a mid-sized manufacturing business including at least 3 years of supervisory experience
- A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field are preferred
- Advanced degrees, such as an MBA, and professional certifications will be an advantage
- Experience managing ESOP financials, reporting, and compliance a plus
- Experience supporting an in-progress system conversion to Microsoft Business Central and able to serve as future SME
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financials into clear guidance.
- Demonstrated ability to balance financial discipline with people-focused leadership
- Experience with succession planning and organizational development
- Management of finance and accounting in a recognized Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Microsoft Business Central highly preferred
