Since 1942, RB Royal has been a leading manufacturer of engineered fluid transfer systems serving Transportation, Agriculture, Construction, and Recreational markets. We are seeking a driven Business Development Manager to expand our presence across Wisconsin, Illinois, and Indiana.
This is a true hunter role focused on identifying and developing new OEM and End User opportunities aligned with RB Royal’s engineering and manufacturing capabilities. The position operates in a hybrid model, with a home base in Fond du Lac, WI and regular travel throughout the assigned territory. Once opportunities are qualified and positioned for success, responsibility transitions to the appropriate Area Representative for ongoing account management.
CORERESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive new business development across WI, IL, and IN
- Identify and penetrate unserved applications, industries, and customer segments
- Develop OEM and End User opportunities aligned with RB Royal’s engineered solutions
- Evaluate territory performance and build a strategic growth plan
- Conduct market research to identify competitive positioning and emerging opportunities
- Maintain an active pipeline using CRM for visibility, forecasting, and opportunity tracking
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Sales, and Customer Service to align technical solutions with customer needs
- Represent RB Royal at industry trade shows and customer events
- Build strong executive-level relationships that generate long-term growth
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3–7 years of successful B2B sales or business development experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Demonstrated success selling technical or engineered solutions to OEMs and End Users
- Strong territory development and prospecting experience
- Proficiency with CRM systems
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Comfortable with cold outreach and consultative selling
- Willingness to travel up to 40% within the assigned territory
