• Greet, engage, and assist customers actively and visibly.
• Process customer transactions efficiently and accurately at the check lane.
• Handle various tenders such as Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, Offline SNAP EBT, WIC, Rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons, and checkout procedures per company policy.
• Adhere to company policies on cash shortages/overages and loss control.
• Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies and follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay updated on current and upcoming promotions and adhere to food safety regulations.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed, identify unsafe conditions, and report issues.
• Maintain equipment and report repairs needed.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers by assisting with product questions.
• Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Work effectively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Manage conflicts professionally and act with honesty and integrity.
• Assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as needed.
• Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
