Position Overview
As part of the Supplier Quality Team, the Supplier Quality Technician will work collaboratively and independently within the Global Supplier Quality department supporting the manufacturing process. The role includes maintaining and analyzing data related to supplier quality, material containment, sorting, inspections, and the management and disposition of non‑conforming materials, as directed by the Supplier Quality Manager or Engineers.
The Technician will work cross‑functionally with managers, engineers, supervisors, technicians, and production employees to own and manage assigned supplier‑quality projects and processes, supporting continual improvement and the ongoing quality of factory production related to procured components and assemblies.
Essential Functions- Process and execute quality activities independently and with assigned suppliers, communicating with internal and external customers to understand quality impacts and disseminating information as directed.
- Under the direction of others, evaluate supplied components for compliance with engineering specifications prior to release for production; support NCM management activities during supplier quality incidents.
- Define, measure, analyze, improve, and control processes and programs to achieve strategic business initiatives and key performance indicators.
- Associate’s Degree or Technical Diploma in Quality, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- 3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing, operations, or quality engineering environment.
- Knowledge of blueprint analysis, including basic GD&T.
- Basic quality tools and problem‑solving techniques.
- 2 years’ experience in engine or engine component manufacturing or assembly.
- ASQ certification as CQT or higher.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training with project experience.
- Very infrequent domestic day and/or overnight travel by auto or airplane, up to 15%.
The anticipated pay range for this position is $53,100 to $83,800 annually. The actual base pay will vary based on job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, business needs, and geographic location. The position also offers an annual discretionary bonus.
