Overview
Join our team as a Manager, Food Safety & Quality in Fond du Lac, WI. In this high-impact role, you’ll lead food safety, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance at our facility. You’ll drive plant-wide initiatives to implement best-in-class food safety and quality programs, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. You’ll mentor and develop a skilled team, champion professional growth and accountability, while partnering with plant and corporate leadership to strengthen Grande’s food safety culture and uphold our reputation for delivering exceptional, trademark-quality products.
Responsibilities- Lead food safety, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance programs at the Fond du Lac facility.
- Drive plant-wide initiatives to implement best-in-class食品 safety and quality practices.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards and internal quality systems.
- Mentor and develop team members; promote professional growth and accountability.
- Partner with plant and corporate leadership to strengthen Grande’s food safety culture.
- Support continuous improvement efforts and uphold Grande’s commitment to quality.
The Role
- 4-year bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Quality Management, or related field (equivalent combinations considered).
- Eight (8) or more years of related experience.
- Licenses &
Certifications:
SQF Practitioner/Implementation (or similar GFSI scheme), HACCP, PCQI. - Ability and willingness to travel to the Distribution Center in Lomira, WI approximately 5% of the time.
- Knowledge of SQF and other quality regulations, codes, and standards; knowledge of Federal, State, and Local food and water regulations (e.g., CFR, FSMA, PMO, Bioterrorism Act).
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to interpret a wide range of technical information and apply it to methods and procedures.
- Advanced project management, leadership, and delegation skills; ability to lead projects and achieve results through others.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and engineering processes; organized and detail-oriented.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; basic experience with laboratory software and manufacturing databases.
- Knowledge of microbiology as it relates to food safety and quality.
- Food and dairy industry experience.
- Root Cause Analysis and Six Sigma Training.
- ASQ Certified Quality Manager designation.
- Six Sigma and/or lean manufacturing experience.
