Position Overview
As part of the talented Quality team, you will be engaged in a variety of functions that include daily and weekly tasks, as well as year-long project goals. The position is largely autonomous, allowing you to set priorities to accomplish dynamic and varied tasks. Teamwork skills are essential to collaborate with teams within the plant, the campus, and external customers. The Quality team is a centralized organization for the campus;
however, team members are assigned to a primary plant. In this role you will work in Plant 17, our Die Cast and Lost Foam casting facility.
- Participate in cross‑functional walk‑throughs
- Lead ISO
9001 activities to maintain third‑party certification - Drive completion of PFD, PCP, PFMEA, and PPAP submissions
- Interface with internal and external customers to improve current processes
- Plan and adjust work priorities to meet daily, weekly, monthly, and annual goals and metrics
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quality or Manufacturing
- Self‑driven
- Interpersonal skills and enjoyment of working with operators, technicians, supervisors, engineers and suppliers
- Blueprint/model interpretation skills
- Willingness to work hands‑on in a manufacturing environment
- 5 years of manufacturing experience
- 2 years of quality‑related experience
- ISO
9001 background or experience - Experience with die casting and lost foam casting
- Problem‑solving skills (Red X, Six Sigma, Lean)
- Conditions may include heat exposure and a high ambient noise level.
- Regular interaction with Operations (hourly / salary), Engineering, and Quality personnel.
The anticipated pay range for this position is $72,000 - $115,300 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job‑related knowledge or skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
