Job Highlights

This is a full‑time variable shift Pharmacy Technician position working primarily at the Pharmacy Plus location in Fond du Lac and may occasionally float to the Main Street location.

Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, assists in the transcription, storage, preparation, dispensing, and delivery of medications. Entry‑level position responsible for learning and assisting with non‑sterile and/or sterile compounding, operating pharmacy automation systems, and maintaining accurate documentation and records in compliance with regulatory standards.

• Prepares medication orders include transcription, workflow management, automation utilization, and medication readiness for non‑sterile compounding.
• Distributes medications to designated areas and returns unused, discontinued, or damaged doses to the pharmacy using automation.
• Supports inventory management activities including receipt, storage, security, and inspection ensuring areas are clean, rotated, and labeled.
• Adheres to regulatory requirements, quality assurance standards, completes all documentation and maintains records.
• Provides excellent customer service to patients, staff, and ancillary departments and maintains confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA.
• Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma/GED or education equivalency for licensing.

• No experience required.

• Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0–25 lbs.
• Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
• Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more).
• Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication and ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
• Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
• Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
• Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25–50 lbs.
• Rare climbing.

• Pharmacy Technician, Registered – Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) – Pharmacy Technician Certification Board.
