Sutter Medical Group (SMG) seeks to hire a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our dynamic Hematology/Oncology - Bone Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy team in Sacramento, CA.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, both inpatient and outpatient, for individuals undergoing hematologic malignancy treatment, stem cell transplantation (autologous/allogeneic), and CAR‑T cellular therapies.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team — including transplant coordinators, nurse navigators, and specialty RNs — to ensure cohesive, patient-centered care.
- Participate in tumor boards, case conferences, clinical rounds, and the continuum of care—from initial consult to long-term follow-up and survivorship.
- Engage in clinical documentation and EMR usage, leveraging Sutter s EPIC system with support from RN coverage and clinical staff.
- Assist with clinical and translational research, including support from the Sutter Institute for Medical Research (SIMR), and participate in journal clubs or educational sessions.
- Graduate from an accredited NP or PA program with appropriate national certification (e.g., AANP, ANCC, NCCPA).
- California licensure eligibility and clearances (NP/PA licensure required).
- Prior experience in hematology/oncology, stem cell transplantation, or cellular therapies (e.g., CAR‑T) is strongly preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills, comfortable working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment including patient/family interactions.
