Under the direction of the designated Nurse Manager, the Staff Nurse is responsible for professional, direct patient care in the nurse role. The Staff Nurse will utilize the nursing process within their scope of practice to assess, develop nursing diagnosis, develop plan of care, implement plan of care, monitor for effectiveness, and adjust appropriately, for patient’s plan of care. The Staff Nurse is responsible for care, in areas assigned, within the Surgery Center, as needed.

Depending on experience, the starting pay is between $60-$62/hr.

• Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing
• RN with active license, no restrictions (license in appropriate state)
• One (1) year of nursing experience, preferably, in an ambulatory surgery center
• CPR, BLS, ACLS certification (as required by Center)
• Strong ethical and moral character references
• Basic computer skills
• Bilingual in Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin or Vietnamese preferred

• Obtains and documents patient’s medical history and performs physical assessment
• Uses proper techniques and procedures according to accepted standards of practice and center policies and procedures
• Application of dressings and assessment of status
• Safe use of medical equipment per manufacturer’s instructions for use
• Insertion, assessment, or discontinuation of various catheters and tubes
• Effective organization and avoidance of wasteful practices of time, equipment, and supplies
• Observes universal precautions
• Attends all required education
• Maintains regular and predictable attendance
• Performs other duties as assigned
