Position: School Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA)  - Folsom, California

A full‑time Speech‑Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available within an elementary school district located in Folsom, CA. This role supports speech therapy services at one site for the current school year (CSY) on a contract basis, providing essential assistance to licensed speech‑language pathologists and helping students improve their communication skills in a supportive educational environment.>

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist licensed speech‑language pathologists in implementing therapy plans tailored to students' individual needs
  • Support students during speech and language therapy sessions, both individually and in groups
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state guidelines
  • Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to promote effective communication strategies
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development activities as required
Qualifications
  • Valid Speech‑Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) certification or license
  • Experience working with children, preferably in an elementary school setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, staff, and families
  • Ability to follow therapy plans and provide consistent, supportive assistance
  • Knowledge of speech and language developmental milestones and disorders
