Position Overview
- Perform civil engineering tasks related to the design and construction of roadway, water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure projects.
- Prepare design studies, plans, specifications, and cost estimates (PS&E).
- Conduct plan checks and coordinate with contractors, agencies, and subconsultants.
- Monitor project tasks to ensure conformance with scope, schedule, and budget.
- Support construction management and inspection activities.
- Participate in marketing, proposal preparation, and business development efforts.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff.
- Assist Project Managers in developing project schedules, budgets, and documentation.
Location: Folsom, CA | Full-Time | Public Works Division
Qualifications and Education Requirements- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE).
- Engineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) License in the State of California.
- Valid California Driver’s License.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in roadway, water, wastewater, and/or stormwater design.
- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Familiar with water, wastewater, and stormwater modeling software.
- Experience managing or assisting in the management of design projects.
- Strong understanding of construction management and inspection processes.
- Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team.
- Knowledge of networked computer systems and digital project workflows is a plus.
- Base Salary Range: $70,000–$133,000 (DOE)
