Verdantas is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our dynamic team supporting projects out of our Folsom, CA offices. We are looking for a motivated and solutions‑oriented engineer who thrives in a collaborative team environment and takes pride in delivering high‑quality work. The ideal candidate has strong problem‑solving skills, can work independently while maintaining clear communication with project teams and clients, is detail‑focused yet sees the broader project goals, and demonstrates persistence and creativity when navigating complex design and permitting challenges.
They enjoy setting goals and developing actionable plans, and they view each project as an opportunity to grow professionally and contribute meaningfully. - Design projects of varying disciplines (levee design, WTPs, pump stations, pipelines, storage tanks, etc.)
- Conduct hydraulic modeling for potable water systems and flooding analyses
- Prepare figures, maps, and other graphics using AutoCAD and GIS software
- Author technical reports and memoranda
- Communicate effectively with staff engineers, project managers, and principal engineers
- Design potable water systems (WTPs, pipelines, pump stations, storage tanks)
- Design wastewater/storm drain systems (pipelines and lift stations)
- Plan water/wastewater systems (master plans, hydraulic modeling)
- Design flood control systems (levee design, ULDC compliance)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four‑year college or university
- 2‑4 years of related experience
- EIT required and working toward a PE
- Experience using AutoCAD/Civil 3D required
- Experience with ArcGIS, HY‑8, HEC‑RAS, Win TR‑55, Win TR‑20, Hydro Cad, and Excel is beneficial
Salary Range: 70,000 – 90,000
