Accounting Clerk Lead

Pride Staff Financial, a recruiting firm specializing in accounting and financial positions, is seeking an experienced and efficient Accounting Clerk Lead for their client. In this role, you will oversee daily accounting operations, lead clerks who handle transactions, data entry, and record-keeping, while also managing financial reporting, bank reconciliations, vendor/customer communications, and ensuring compliance with financial procedures. The ideal candidate will have good communication skills, ability to delegate and hold team members accountable while managing multiple tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and delegate tasks to accounting clerks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable, journal entries, cash receipts, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and summaries for management.
• Ensure accurate and organized maintenance of financial records, ledgers, and databases.
• Apply and enforce departmental regulations and accounting best practices.
• Act as a liaison with customers, vendors, and other departments regarding billing and payments.
• Establish and maintain internal accounting processes and standards.

Skills & Qualifications

• Previous accounting clerk or bookkeeping experience.
• Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Excel, data entry, and general office equipment.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles, financial processes, and regulations.
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, time management, problem-solving, and strong communication/interpersonal skills.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree, or relevant certification preferred but not required
