Management Accountant | Folkestone | £40-45K + Benefits

We’re recruiting on behalf of a growing business with multiple services across Kent and the Southeast. They are looking for a Management Accountant to join their small, friendly accounts team and work closely with the Head of Finance.

Work directly with a highly experienced Head of Finance who values development and process improvement. Join a supportive and collaborative finance team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and cashflow forecasts.
  • Process and reconcile month-end provisions including accruals and prepayments.
  • Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and ensure robust financial controls.
  • Oversee payroll for + employees, ensuring compliance with PAYE and pension regulations.
  • Manage purchasing, invoice processing, approvals, and payment runs across all services.
  • Assist with sales invoicing and liaise with funders and local authorities.
  • Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns.
  • Support budgetary control, reporting, and ad hoc financial analysis.
  • Take ownership of financial queries and resolve them promptly.
  • Contribute to process improvements as the company continues to grow.
Requirements
  • Part or fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in management accounting or similar role.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organisational ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel);
    Sage Line 50 experience desirable.
  • A proactive team player with strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
