Ultrasound Technologist PRN

Responsibilities

• Performs routine breast ultrasound procedures following the protocols established by the radiologist.
• Properly inputs all required patient information into the system including the protocol, patient history in full sentences, performing providers, and any additional information to the radiologist regarding the procedure.
• Obtains complete and detailed history to assist the radiologist with the diagnosis of each patient.
• Performs exams in an accurate and timely manner.
• Properly identifies patients and demonstrates compassion while maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Maintains exam rooms by stocking exam rooms with necessary supplies.
• Maintains equipment and reports any equipment malfunctions to the supervisor or appropriate service provider.
• Properly windows and levels images for film printing and burns CDs as necessary.
• Promotes teamwork by assisting other staff as needed.
• Performs other duties as required.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Completion of a course in Ultrasound;
  Current RDMS certification
• Sonography: 2 years (Preferred)
• License: RDMS (Required)
