• Comfortable managing a 6:1 patient ratio on medical-surgical units

• Provide comprehensive medical-surgical nursing care to adult patients in accordance with hospital policies and evidence-based practice
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions, vital signs, and responses to treatments in Cerner EMR
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely following physician orders and facility protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, care plans, medication administration, and post-discharge instructions
• Respond to clinical changes, escalate concerns appropriately, and participate in unit-based patient safety initiatives
• Float to other units as needed to support staffing and ensure continuity of care

• Experience with Cerner or other major EMR systems
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and time-management skills
• Prior travel nursing or contract RN experience is a plus
• Certifications such as ACLS, PALS (if applicable to unit population) are beneficial
