Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) – Full Time
Brentwood Behavioral Healthcare is seeking a dynamic and talented full‑time Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). The facility is a 120‑bed behavioral health center providing psychiatric services for adults, children, and adolescents, located in Flowood, MS.
ResponsibilitiesThe CNO is a key member of the Brentwood Leadership Team who will integrate and coordinate a patient‑centric nursing strategy, focusing on the following key areas:
- People – Create an environment that supports employee development and teamwork to deliver compassionate patient care in a safe setting.
- Service – Create systems, processes, and care standards to support the delivery of patient care in a safe, fiscally sound environment of service excellence.
- Quality – Provide accessible, timely, efficient, and cost‑effective care using evidence‑based practice and continuous performance improvement.
- Growth / Community – Foster an environment that supports growth and community through activities, partnerships, and shared goals.
- Finance – Support a financially stable environment to achieve the UHS mission.
The CNO participates in the hospital’s strategic planning and contributes to the achievement of institutional goals and objectives.
Qualifications- Current license or permit to practice professional nursing in the state of MS.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a CCNE‑accredited program;
Master of Science in Nursing strongly preferred. - Demonstrated working knowledge of behavioral health nursing clinical practices and management; experience in a free‑standing inpatient setting strongly preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of principles and practices relevant to nursing and patient care activities.
- Demonstrated knowledge of effective management and supervisory practices; highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Three or more years of progressive nursing management experience in a behavioral health setting.
- Ability to plan, direct, and monitor others’ activities with demonstrated leadership abilities that contribute to a positive work environment.
