This is a full-time, on-site position as a Litigation Legal Assistant in Flowood, MS. The Legal Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative aid to attorneys, organize and prepare legal documents and case filings, maintain case files, manage certain client invoicing and distribution, handle travel engagements and expense records submissions, and facilitate effective communication with clients, courts, and internal teams. Responsibilities include managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and performing general office support tasks to ensure the efficient operation of legal procedures and client services.
Qualifications- Knowledge and understanding of legal principles, legal document preparation, and processes
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with clients and team members
- Experience with administrative assistance and general office support tasks
- Proficiency in the roles and responsibilities required of Legal Assistants
- Attention to detail, organizational prowess, and the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively
- Mastery of mid-level proficiency with Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
- Associate degree in Legal Studies, Paralegal Certification, or equivalent experience
- Previous experience in a legal environment is highly desirable
