Business Intelligence Developer

Location:

Flowood, MS (must relocate for this opportunity – NO starting off remote)

Job type:
Long-term contract to hire (On-Site 5 days a week.)

Top 3 MUST HAVES:
Bachelor’s Degree, Power BI and Tableau

• Design, develop, and implement business intelligence dashboards using efficient techniques, reusable code and web services as applicable.
• Actively participate with implementation of documented reporting applications and improvement strategies
• Report problems to the software vendors, provide requested documentation, and track problems to resolution; develop and monitor procedures for the WebFOCUS server environment proactively for any issues and address access and performance issues
• Analyze requested reporting requirements and propose effective and flexible solutions; develop alternative solutions, as appropriate, and review with the Manger and Information team
• Develop logic charts, record formats, Metadata, and detailed technical programming specs; coordinate the creation or modification of database queries with the DBA’s as required Prepare documentation in compliance with department standards; use efficient programming and coding techniques to develop / maintain self-service reporting applications that are flexible and scalable; develop / create data sources to connect to the databases to retrieve required data efficiently;
  
  develop test cases and scripts, execute the test plans, and evaluate results
• Troubleshoot user technical problems and ensures quick resolution with proper documentation; analyze and resolve testing issues and production problems as reported in the problem tracking system
• Develop and enforce the coding standards and conventions; review business objectives and requirements with the Manager / business analysts; provide input on alternative solutions when appropriate
• Prepare prototypes of screens and reports for common understanding and agreement; assist in training users of new and modified reporting applications.
