This senior level role is responsible for guiding projects from early concept and client engagement through design coordination, budgeting, and successful execution. The Director of Design Build Construction will play a critical role in shaping strategy, improving processes, and maintaining the high standards that have defined Peoples Construction for nearly 60 years.

• Lead and oversee all design‑build operations for commercial and industrial projects
• Meet with clients to evaluate needs and develop design‑build solutions and proposals
• Direct budgeting, estimating, planning, and design coordination efforts
• Oversee preparation of plans, specifications, and pricing documents
• Coordinate internal teams, consultants, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
• Build and enhance reporting systems to track project progress, timelines, and performance
• Identify and implement process improvements, software, and systems to improve efficiency
• Support site selection and early project feasibility efforts
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, community leaders, and industry partners
• Represent the company professionally in client meetings and industry settings

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Business, or related field
• Minimum five years of experience in commercial general contracting with design‑build leadership responsibility
• Deep understanding of design‑build delivery methods and construction processes
• Experience with VDC, CAD, and modern construction technology tools
• Strong knowledge of site selection and early project planning
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and stakeholder engagement
• Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
• Strategic, forward‑thinking, and self‑directed professional
