Pay Range: $68,000 - $85,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications

This position is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of a fabrication team in a safe and efficient manner to achieve quality standards, productivity goals, and cost objectives, while limiting back‑orders and shortages. The role supervises the 1st shift, with an approximate work schedule Monday – Friday from 6:00 am – 4:30 pm.

Responsibilities
  • Lead by example with respect to our Vision, Common Purpose, and Quality Standards:

  • Schedule and direct team members within the production line, ensuring clear understanding of task expectations in safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Provide team member feedback in the form of recognition for positive performance, coaching and counseling for performance opportunities, and development opportunities for growth.
  • Cross‑train and rotate team members consistent with internal performance compensation structure.
  • Provide leadership in sustaining defined processes and resolving issues.
  • Maintain time and production records daily.
  • Ensure the overall integrity of work produced by the line.
  • Develop, recommend, and implement measures to improve manufacturing methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase departmental efficiency.
  • Prepare and present training materials and communications on safety, quality, production, 5S, and other key performance measures.
  • Maintain overall safety of employees in the assigned work area by reporting hazards, leading incident investigations, and conducting hazard assessments.
  • Administer company policies fairly and consistently.
  • Encourage employee suggestions that improve safety, quality, productivity, and operating cost.
  • Maintain consistent communication and conduct regular department meetings.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • College degree preferred.
  • Three or more years in a manufacturing leadership role with previous multi‑line responsibility.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective communicator, capable of teaching and generating results while enhancing the MI work environment.
  • Prior experience in improving operations (e.g., UPEH, reduced costs).
  • Strong background in LEAN process improvement principles and process management to support MI’s Continuous Improvement culture.
