Senior Tax Manager (CPA) | Leadership Track to Future Partner
Pay: $105k – $125k plus bonus and commissions

Williams & Kunkel, CPAs, LLP is hiring a Senior Tax Manager to help lead our tax department, deliver proactive tax strategies, and grow into a future leadership role.
This is not a back-office tax prep position.

What You’ll Do- Prepare and review complex individual and business tax returns
- Lead the delivery and implementation of proactive tax planning strategies
- Identify tax-saving opportunities for business owners and high-income clients
- Communicate directly with clients with confidence and clarity
- Help lead tax planning conversations and strategic recommendations
Manage deadlines, workflow, and tax engagements with strong accountability - Maintain high standards for quality, accuracy, and follow-through
- Help strengthen systems, processes, and department performance
- Support and help develop other team members
- Work closely with firm leadership to help scale the tax department
- Active CPA license preferred
- 5+ years of public accounting tax experience preferred
- Strong background in individual and business tax returns
- Strong tax review and technical skills
- Experience with tax planning is a major plus
- Confident communicator with clients and leadership
- Highly organized, decisive, and accountable
- Natural ownership mentality
- Able to lead under pressure and make sound decisions
