REQUIREMENTS: Educator License with Stipulations – Paraprofessional (ELS-PARA) or Substitute Teaching License (SUB).

DESCRIPTION: The job of the Special Education Instructional Assistant was established for the purpose of providing support to the instructional program within the assigned classroom with specific responsibility for assisting in the supervision, personal care and instruction of special needs and at‑risk students in the regular classroom, self‑contained classroom and in a 1:1 environment; assisting in implementing plans or interventions/strategies for instruction;

monitoring student behavior during non‑classroom time; and providing information to appropriate school personnel.
