Basketball Jr. Associate​/Associate Coach

• Wiz Kids Sports Camps are seasonal youth sports camps that offer athletic and academic enrichment to participants.
• Various Locations in the Chicago Metropolitan Area

The Wiz Kids Foundation is seeking enthusiastic and positive Summer Camp Junior Associate who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and leading children through a variety of outdoor and indoor summertime activities.

• The Basketball Junior Associate is responsible for helping teach fundamental skills as well as more advanced strategy.
• While assisting the Basketball Head Coach, associates chaperone, supervise and guide campers through the day-to-day activities of the overall camp experience including field trips.
• Develop and lead daily sport-specific drill and game components.
• Ensure the welfare of campers and positive resolution of camper related issues by communicating clearly and consistently with camp leadership staff.
• Willingness to comply with Suspected Child Abuse Reporting (Subsection (a)(6) of 325 ILCS 5-4).
• Additional duties as contracted.

• Prior basketball playing or related experience at the high school and/or college level.
• Prior experience working in a camp environment is a plus.
• Must be High school grad, current undergrad student or post grad student

• Homewood-Flossmoor High School: $15/hr
• Whitney Young High School: $17/hr
• Lakeview High School: $17/hr

  Monday-Thursday from 7:30-12:30pm
• Whitney Young High School:
  Monday-Thursday from 7:30-12:30pm and Fridays from 8:30-4:15pm
• Lakeview High School:
  Monday-Thursday from 8:30-12pm
• Westmont High School:
  Monday-Thursday from 8:30-12:30pm
