Join the dynamic team at Florida Window & Door, a leading provider of high-quality impact windows and doors in Florida. We are dedicated to excellence in home improvement and are currently seeking a Warehouse Associate to support our operations.
As a Warehouse Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our warehouse. You will assist with unloading deliveries, managing inventory, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the warehouse.
Full time job paying $18/hourKey Responsibilities
- Receiving incoming merchandise and verifying that they are undamaged and of sound quality
- Counting received items
- Assisting install and service staff in retrieving specified merchandise from storage as per the work order
- Preparing merchandise for delivery or shipping by packaging and labeling them accordingly
- Maintaining accurate records of all incoming and outgoing merchandise
- Organizing warehouse merchandise and stacking them on shelves, bays and racks in accordance with company guidelines
- Performing all duties necessary to maintain facility cleanliness, including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, and dusting as needed
- Parts ordering
- Assisting in service projects as needed
- Other duties as assigned
- Maintain regular attendance
- Proficient in OSHA standards
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of company staff
- Detail-oriented in tracking inventory accuracy and coordinating orders and shipping
- Highly organized and efficient, with the ability to problem-solve and prioritize
- Ability to lift 70 lbs. independently
- Basic computer competency is required
- Lifting Capacity:
Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver impact windows and doors weighing between 55 lbs. to 200 lbs. Manual assistance is required for items over 100 lbs. - Team Lifting:
For windows and doors exceeding 100 lbs., team lifting is required (typically 2 or more individuals depending on size and weight) - Proper Lifting Techniques:
Use of correct body mechanics, including bending at the knees and keeping the back straight to reduce strain.
Employees are required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, steel-toed/composite boots, and safety glasses when lifting or handling windows and doors.
Clear PathwaysMust maintain clear pathways for the safe movement and transportation of windows and doors.
