Satair is looking for a Cost Center/Purchase Order Controller to join our team in Dulles, VA.
You will be part of the team responsible for the financial and operational oversight of the IAD and MIA Warehouse cost centers. This role leads the procurement function for non-flying parts regarding indirect spend, warehouse consumables, and operational services. It's also responsible to ensure timely Purchase Order (PO) placement, accurate cost allocation, and strict adherence to budgetary constraints. This position acts as the bridge between Warehouse Operations and Finance, ensuring the facility has the supplies and services required to operate efficiently while minimizing variance against the operating budget.

Your working environmentLocated minutes away from the Washington Dulles International Airport, and approximately 30 miles from the U.S. Capitol, this site serves as our major parts distribution hub in the Americas. The facility is a 24/7 fulfillment center, with an Aircraft on Ground (AOG) support desk, and Quality Assurance (QA) operations. To best support our customers, our 20,000-square-foot warehouse features a brand new technology called Autostore, aiming at increasing productivity.

Your challengesCost Center Management:
Manage the site's operating budget; monitor actual spend vs. budget, identify variances, and implement cost-saving initiatives. Review and approve expenses to ensure alignment with Satair financial policies.PO Lifecycle Management:
Oversee the end-to-end purchasing process for the warehouse. Ensure accurate and timely placement of Purchase Orders (POs) for packaging, consumables, facility services, and equipment.Vendor Management:
Monitor vendor performance regarding delivery timeliness and quality. Resolve discrepancies between Purchase Orders, Goods Receipts, and Invoices (GR/IR issues) to facilitate timely payment.Inventory Control (Consumables):
Implement controls for non-stock inventory (packing materials, safety supplies) to prevent stock-outs that could halt warehouse production.Data Integrity:
Maintain accurate master data in the ERP system (SAP) regarding vendors, pricing, and cost centers.Reporting:
Generate weekly and monthly financial reports for the Head of Logistics detailing spend velocity, open commitments, and forecasted costs for the year.Support the project management teams in executing POs for CAPEX and OPEX spends.
Establish and actively engage in cross-regional collaboration and define (reporting) standards.
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field is highly desirable.
3-5 years of experience in a warehouse environment with additional responsibilities of inventory, cost, or PO management.
Understanding of General Ledger (GL) accounts, Cost Centers, and Capex vs. Opex. Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Onsite or remote: 100% On Site at the warehouse in IAD
Vision: able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings.
