Qualifications

Possess a valid CDL Class B license with passenger, school bus, and air brakes endorsements.
Complete a required driver training course and pass a performance test in school bus operation.

Performance Responsibilities

Comply with all traffic laws and School Board policies for safe bus operation.

Inspect the bus before trips to ensure safety.

Ensure passenger safety during loading and unloading.

Instruct students on safety precautions.

Maintain student discipline and report issues.

Keep the bus clean inside and outside.

Prepare and submit operational reports accurately and timely.

Recommend improvements for routes and stops.

Use effective communication skills.

Report bus defects or repair needs.

Complete required training programs.

Assist in obtaining substitute drivers if needed.

Perform other related tasks.
