- this is a highly responsible position requiring extensive knowledge of florida’s child welfare system and programs. The incumbent must have the analytical skills to address complex systemic problems and to formulate recommendations for the effective solution of this problem.
- serve at the direction of the statewide policy director to support statewide ongoing service operations, special projects, and implementation activities across behavioral qualified residential treatment program (bqrtp).
- exhibit advanced expertise in the relative caregiver program, behavioral qualified residential treatment program (bqrtp), random moment sampling, educational resources topics and policies, coordinating the planning, development, and implementation of related statewide initiatives and serving as lead for ccwis system enhancements related to such topics.
- maintain and update operating policies related to relative caregiver program, qualified residential treatment program (qrtp), behavioral qualified residential treatment program (bqrtp), and educational resources for children in the child welfare system ensuring alignment with federal and state laws, rules, and best practice standards.
- provide technical assistance to regions, cbc lead agencies, and case management organizations as needed or identified through quality assurance reviews to strengthen consistency and service quality regarding the relative caregiver program, qualified residential treatment program (qrtp), behavioral qualified residential treatment program (bqrtp), random moment sampling and educational resources/outcomes for children in the child welfare system.
- support legislative and policy activities—such as bill analyses, legislative budget requests, and responses to media or legislative inquiries associated with the relative care program and behavioral qualified residential treatment program.
- collaborate with internal and external partners, including the office of child and family well-being, quality and innovation, substance abuse and mental health, and economic self-sufficiency, to promote efficient and effective child welfare service delivery in identified areas.

this position requires knowledge of the child welfare system along with related florida statutes, administrative code and operating procedures. Knowledge of compiling, organizing, and analyzing data. Ability to evaluate the quality of service to clients and evaluate programs. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to establish effective working relationships and work as a team member.

bachelor’s degree or higher in social work or related area of study from an accredited college or university required.
work experience requirementsat minimum, 5 years’ experience working as case manager. Active full child welfare certification through the florida certification board. Cwcm preferred
